I know what you mean. I had to do that with my hubby on birthdays and anniversaries. After 40 years, he is starting to get it.

I've been lucky with all three kids. They are very thoughtful, and always on time. My husband, on the other hand, is even More thoughtful. He has showered me with gifts, flowers, dinners, candy, on all of the holidays, for 49 years of marriage, and prior to that, 4 years of dating. He's extremely sentimental. I really got a wonderful one, and his remembrances always bring tears to my eyes! ...........I know you got a good one, too, Laural

Hey there Laural,

Hope your Mom's Day lunch/brunch turns out nice... being your first one here in DE, after all! We haven't tried the Sheraton, but since Delly IS older than dirt, I sure hope you followed her advise! Besides, she would know where to take YOUR mom, too!

My boys are going to attempt breakfast in the morning... but I already set up the coffee pot (just the flick of a button, so that should go fine). I have a sneaky suspicion breakfast itself will either be cold cereal, or poptarts! That is about all my 11 & 13 yr olds can manage!

We took care of the nice dinner Saturday... went to Hibachi in Dover. Our first time there, but not the last! If you like Japanese food, this is a good place to go. Would you agree, Delly? Or any of the other locals?

elizamary, hope your daughter makes it down from Philly, and that you have a great day as well. After all your travels, a day of no activity is probably called for!

And Laural, let us know how training your son goes! My two older kids back in NC at least spoke to me on the phone late Saturday night, and hopefully will be able to treat MY mom to something on Sunday. But cards, gifts, etc from THEM still need a lot of prompting from everyone else... May is way too busy a month for either/both of them.

Mary
