We want to visit the state of delaware, and went on line, but the state does not list how we can get a guide with maps mailed to us. They list an 800-visitDE number that only wants businesses listed. We cannot download the information, b/c the printer is broken. HELP! Thanking you in advance,

Try this link: Visit Delaware

Sign up for the free guide. I've seen a copy, and it's very informative. Call the toll-free number to request a packet.

You can also get a good, detailed road map from AAA.

When the state sends tourism packages they generally include a map. Actually most states do these days.

The tourism guide is very helpful (Visit Delaware - Visitor Guide) but it didn't come with maps. My mom called a chamber of commerce in Delaware and they sent her 2 state maps.

I've ordered AAA maps for DE from out-of-state, and they include PA and parts of other states. I have been informed that if you call or visit a AAA office in DE, they will send you more detailed local maps (alhtough I haven't tried this myself).

I'm excited to try out the DOT maps - thanks jdoll!

Default Update

I went to Delaware Department of Transportation - Map Request and ordered the State Base Map for $1.

It arrived today and it's enormous. I'm 5'7" and I think it's taller than I am.

But it's a great map. Needless to say, lots of detail. Since it's some sort of government map, though, there's no "key" - i.e. to find Newark go to square E7. I'm still glad I have it though.
