Commute to/Live in Wilmington? (Newark, Bellefonte: sublets, apartment, university)

Hello everyone,

I am starting to work outside Wilmington, in Bellefonte near Bellevue parkway 19809. I am currently a University student, interning at a company in the area. My family lives in Cherry Hill, NJ about a 50 minute commute or so from the location. However, if possible, I'd like to significantly shorten my commute (to about 15-20 minutes total). The thing is, I would just want to sublet an apartment (shared or single, of no importance) for the months of June and July. I'm hoping to live in a fairly interesting area (Bellefonte seemed pretty quaint). In addition, I like to stay active, and run, so being close to a park would be ideal. Failing that, easy access to a gym. Is there anywhere around Wilmington (maybe PA), perhaps a college area, where summer sublets are normal?

The closest location I found was Newark, DE, which seems like a bit of a drive. Would anyone know how the traffic from Newark - Wilmington compares to Cherry Hill - Wilmington.
