Default Can Anyone Tell Me About The Area 19802?

Hi,

So I've been house hunting the past couple of weeks and have narrowed my choices down to a select few. Near the top of my list is Colony North Apartments which is situated in area code 19802. The price and room are perfect, but I am not too familiar with the neighborhood.

Can locals enlighten me on the surrounding neighborhoods of this apartment (safety, quietness, crime rates, etc.)? Any help would be appreciated, I will be a full-time working professional so there is a stress on safety and quietness.

Thanks!

Can't really edit my thread but a little more info:

The apartments are located on E. Lea Blvd and I am not sure whether or not it is considered a part of the Brandywine Hundred neighborhood?

I live in area code 19802, this is considered the City of Wilmington, northeast. Not the best area, but far from the worst. Not Brandywine Hundred, closer to Brandywine Hundred than to the heart of the City. I like our street, but a couple of blocks south and the riff raff begins. In fact just last week a fella was shot not more than a block away. Seems to be an isolated incident, but we shall see. We are moving next spring. i love our house here in the "city," but with two young children, it is time for the 'burbs.'
