Need help~How to go University of Delaware from JFK
I am a new student of University of Delaware.
But my flight is to JFK.
I have no idea how to get there.
My school suggest me to Philadelphia airport that has shuttle bus to my school.
Does anyone could tell me how to go there form JFK to PHL?

I would go Philly cuz it is closer. Up route 1 to 95 north then you run right into the airport. If Philly has a shuttle, it makes sense to fly out of philly than JFK.

From the Philly airport, I would probably make arrangements for Delaware Express or some other limo service to take you to UD. That number is 302-454-7800. They are also online. If you are planning to take public transportation from center city, which is where the bus station is, you would need to take the R2 Warminster line from Philly to Newark DE. I don't think they have trains running all day, so you would really be taking a chance. My advice would be to make a ticket change, even though it will probably cost you. There is nothing like being lost in a large city. Where are you coming from?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but looks to me like the best way to get where you want to go is to fly to JFK, fly from JFK to PHL then take the shuttle bus to the school...like your school suggests.
You could probably take a bus from JFK to PHL as well. Something like Greyhound.

evan...You may want to read or reread this info I found on the UD site.
University of Delaware - Office of Foreign Students & Scholars
.......Those arriving in New York City can reach Newark also by bus or train. The train may be much easier, but it has limited departures from New York. When you arrive at Kennedy International Airport, take the Shuttle Bus to Port Authority (cost $12.00). The train (Amtrak) leaves New York City at 7:30 p.m. and arrives in Newark, Delaware at 9:30 p.m. (cost $64). If you wish to take the bus to Newark when you arrive at Kennedy International Airport, take the Shuttle Bus to Eastside Terminal in Manhattan (cost $15), and they will transport you to Port Authority for free. Bus service from Port Authority to Wilmington, Delaware leaves at frequent intervals (cost $32). Once in the U.S. call 1-800-343-9999 for bus schedule information. Be sure to take the bus to Newark, DELAWARE, (150 miles from New York City) rather than to Newark, New Jersey, (across the Hudson River from Manhattan). The bus arrives at 2nd & French St. in Wilmington across the street from the Amtrak train station. There is Dart bus service at the train station. The Dart bus goes to Newark several times a day (cost under $3).
Also, here is the site for Amtrak..
Amtrak - Routes
I hope that comes through for you. It seems very long. You might want to research on the site.
If you get to Penn Station from JFK, there are trains that run to Newark, DE.
Make sure you enter Newark, Delaware (DE). There is also a Newark, New Jersey (NJ). You don't want to go there if your final destination in UofD.
I've not made this trip personally, but I have family members who fly internationally from JFK and into JFK at least once a year.
Best wishes!!

evan, yes. Fly into JFK and take the shuttle from the airport to Port Authority Bus Terminal. You can ask for information there, and be directed to a bus to Philadelphia, but be sure to ask if there's a bus directly to the Philadelphia Airport. (I don't know; I haven't made that trip for many years.)
If you end up at the Philadelphia bus station, you should be able to be directed to a shuttle or bus to the Philly Airport.
If the University of Delaware has told you that there's a shuttle from Philadelphia airport to campus, they should be able to give you more information: where to meet this shuttle, times of departure. You want to avoid having to wait overnight for a shuttle to campus.
I'd get back in touch with the University if I were you, and go over everything. You still have time before Tuesday.
