Question Section 8 Housing

Hi everyone. I am looking for a section 8 house with 2 bedrooms and a fenced in backyard in new castle. Any help would be deeply appreciated. I only have 2 weeks to find something. I have a 21 year old aultisic son ( why I need fence) and would be a very good tenant. I have lived in same place for last 16 yrs. and have very good reference. My son needs some room to move around in. Where I am now has no fenced in yard. I am very neat and tidy and private person. NO TROUBLE. Thanks so much.

Hi Debbie,

Can't help you much with new castle, as we live south of Dover and have only lived in DE for less than a year. I could not help posting, as we also have a son with autism.

Have you checked with the housing authority (for section 8 referrals)? How about any of the agencies that work with families with disabilities? I'm thinking of the Autism Society, Easter Seals, etc. They may know of something.

Good luck; my heart goes out to you!

Mary
