We want to rent an apartment before buying a house (so we can completely check out the neighborhoods and available homes.) Can anyone recommend newer apartment complexes that accept pets and are in favorable areas within 30 minutes of Wilmington? (Rent between $900-$1200)

(Needs to accept 3-6 month leases)

Thanks

OK, I'm starting to feel like an agent for this newly constructed apt. complex near my house but I do know that they allow pets and this complex is 15 - 20 min.s from Wilm.
I don't know about the 3-6 mo.s lease though but you can check them out at Deemer's Landing in NewCastle.

Brandywine Hundred Apartments on Foulk Rd just off Concord Pike (Rt 202) is a high-rise, pet-friendly complex where you should be able to find a 2-bedroom in your price range. They used to have short-term leases, but they're under new management now so I'm not positive about that. It's a short drive from there to downtown. North Wilmington is a very nice area.

Good luck with your search!

I have been looking too. I only need a short term one bedroom but furnished. I'm finding that in some cases (if they don't have a studio or 1 bed available)by time I'm done with apt rent, furn rent, utilities etc. the prices are getting a little close to an extended stay hotel complete with Internet, breakfast and maid service.
