Default Scenic DE Stories

We were travelling on RT. 113 N coming home from a visit with the grandkiddies who were vacationing in Ocean City, MD. We took them on a boat ride to Assateague, which they thoroughly enjoyed, and then we had dinner on the dock. It was a great time. We left shortly after dinner. The sunset was really impressive but what was more so, well, you'll never guess what we saw walking on the side of the road.... a peacock proudly displaying his feathers. HMMMMM wonder where he came from. He appeared to be all by himself. Sure hope he found his way home OK.

That's very strange, from PA! Especially since I JUST read a few days ago about a peacock "hitch hiking" in Clark Summit, PA! I don't recall if it was on the comcast, yahoo, or local news website, but it was an article about a peacock being picked up by a couple of fellas riding down the road.

Bet that was a sight to see! Wonder if it's the same peacock????

Mary

Tonight it was a pig. No kidding. We were cruising along Kitts Hummock Road . We thought at first it was a really fat dog, but it actually was a huge pig , just strolling along the side of the road. What will be next, I wonder?

Last night we were at JP's in Bowers. It was a wonderful evening, Temperature in low 80's, no humidity, slight breeze. Just Sittin' on the dock of the bay, having a bite to eat while watching the tide roll out when all of the sudden a huge pelican flew in to visit us. He was a gorgeous creature. I'm told his name is George so you know he is a regular at JP's..
