I am neither named Cliff nor yet of Dover, but I am starting a job in Dover next month and am looking to move to the area.

I noticed that Clearview Meadow has advertised townhomes beginning in the 160s -- does anyone have any info on this new subdivision or know how much construction has already taken place? The location seems excellent.

There are also several homes for sale in the Village of Westover for relatively good prices per square foot. However, the crime map on Delaware Online indicated a surprisingly high number of crimes around that area, and I don't want to buy a place in an area that might be going downhill. Can anyone provide more specific info on this subdivision?

Also, if anyone has any info to share about the Greens at Wyoming or any other subdivisions with homes for under 200k I'd appreciate it.

I don't know how the crime map compiles their statistics, but Village of Westover is an extremely stable community.

Clearview meadows is around 200K, some over and some under. I think there's about 6-8 properties in there for sale right now. You probably also want to look up Stoney Creek, they have townhome listings under 200K and are only about 2-3 years old. Cannon MIlls and Village of Westover are two others that you might want to take a look at too. Hope this helps.

Thank you both for the info.

I drove through Stoney Creek once recently -- if I recall correctly, there were a ton of homes either for sale or for rent. That scares me a bit. I'm leery of buying a house on a street with a bunch of renters or in an area that has more trouble than usual selling their homes.

stay away from Stoney Creek!!! The crime rate has been escalating dramatically! It is mostly coming from the 2 surrounding neighborhoods, ( The apartments and the next subdivision after) I cant wait to move out!!!
