Obama picks Biden for V.P. (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/aug/23/obama-picks-biden-vp/print/ - broken link)

Congrats! to you DE, on a resident of your great state being picked as the V.P. choice.
Joe Biden born in Scranton, PA, the loquacious lawmaker in the Senate since 1973, (at 29) now chosen to run alongside of Obama.
Great choice, and best of luck to them.

Biden is way overqualified for the job. I'm happy, then again it will (I promise) be a very hairy race with him denouncing Obama's qualifications for president, and the fact that he and McCain are actually long-time good friends who know how to push each other's buttons.

I saw my first government vehicles today on Kirkwood Highway. Get used to seeing lots more black vehicles with Govt plates in Delaware. The secret service has arrived!

All in all, though it has enhanced my pride in being a Delawarean. Go Biden!

Congrats to y'all. I vacationed in your fair state last summer and now can say I'm sure Biden will care about global warming because if the sea rises a couple of feet most of your state will be underwater (gulp). I really enjoyed my visit to Lewes and the Henlopen park.

Hi Creeksitter...........And welcome.

I am aware of the how the sea rising will affect DE as well and think about that from time to time. It is scary. That applies to all coastal towns. New Jersey as well.

Lewes and Henelopen are great places to visit. Now that Labor Day has come and gone, we will be going more often. It is so nice without the tourist.
Lewes is a quaint town and Henelopen is a nice place to be outdoors.
