Default nice place?

Okay same question again! Looking for nice place to live in DE orig from NYC but relocating back up north from Atlanta. Things that are important are: safe neighborhood, family friendly, driving distance to stores I.e. Walmart etc. Diversity. Any suggestions would help. Oh and how is the job market?

momma,

If you provide more info, for example what sort of job(s) you're looking for, I think people will come forth with suggestions.

In general, few jobs, and many of them seasonal, in Sussex County, which is farthest south of Delaware's three counties. Check out possibilities in the medical and related fields there.

Kent County (central Delaware) is anchored by Dover, and jobs here are more varied, but the population is in the 35,000 range (you say you've lived in New York City and Atlanta), so there are limitations of various sorts.

New Castle County, which includes Wilmington and Newark, etc., is the most populous area, with the most job possibilities.

I think that all these areas have nice places to live, but you'll want to narrow your search a bit, and the job you're seeking will help with that.

Annie
