Default Best Neighborhoods Around Wilmington

I've read a lot of the threads about nice suburbs, but I'm specifically looking for neighborhoods or development to focus on in my research. My criteria are areas that are within a 30-minute drive of downtown Wilmington, houses in the $500K range (ones nearby can be more expensive, but I would prefer this to be the bottom end of the area), good schools (RC or Brandywine districts), public parks and walking trails built into the developments, possibly a country club nearby.

If someone is at all familiar with the communities along the north shore of Chicago (Winnetka, Glencoe, Lake Forest, etc), that is sort of what I'm looking for.

Thanks for any ideas, I appreciate them

Hockessin fits the bill of what you're looking for. There are plenty of places nearby for walking and Hartefeld Country Club is nearby. The DuPont Country Club is nearby as well.

Good Luck
