Not looking for a "line up and get your eggs at the buffet" type of place - any decent place will do.

Thanks!

A good breakfast can be found at Crossroads Diner on Kirkwood Highway near Route 7. They always have specials on Sunday. If you want something more upscale, try Caffe Gelato or Home Grown on Main Street in Newark. I have not eaten breakfast at either of them, but Caffe Gelato has excellent food so I don't think that you could go wrong. While the diner is open early, I think Main Street establishments probably open about 10ish. I also have a friend who eats at Perkins every Saturday and says it is excellent. It is on Route 72 as it turns into Route 2 (Kirkwood Highway) just down from Main Street.

Chesapeake Inn has very nice (but pricey, like $25 per person) Sunday brunch.

Thanks everyone! JL, I can't find a Chesapeake Inn in Newark, only in Maryland. Do you have an address or website?

Chesapeake (sp?) Inn is indeed in MD, but it's not terribly far from Newark, is it?

Sounds lovely! I had guests coming from 2 hours away, so I needed something in Newark. Have to try it and the other suggestions another time. Thanks everyone!

I would take them to the Post House (Main St.)

It is probably a little too homely, but it's an experience, and they have good food for cheap. Very 1940s.
