Talking non age lawn care?

Hi, I'm Jan, and I have some physical limitations. I have been thinking that only an over 55 community would include lawn care, plowing, etc...Can anyone address this issue?

I'd try NC in a heartbeat, but my 3 best pals are in NJ and Maryland. DE puts me within a few hours of them...

I love kids, but I'm not sure I want them all the time...some parents can be so irresponsible. I wonder, though, at 59 if the new neighbors will include others at the younger end of the age range.

I love activities suited to my schedule and interests, but I worry that I'll be feeling on the sidelines. There's enough of that with my physical limitations.

I'd love to see more people get into frequent posts; I've worked through another over 55 thread, with more than 38 pages...so much good information, still useful to me....

Yes, Eliza, City-Data is a great place to be...And I'm glad to see you here, too.

I still have time to go to Kent County and look around at some neighborhoods and activities and amenities...

How much do communities interact? I know there is some sharing of extra trip seats and other tickets; I wonder about other ways to expand social contacts...

Would my almost 21 year old college student be restricted from staying with me in summers, or for a bit after she finishes school?

Any answers will be appreciated!!

Jan

Here is a listing of 55+ communities in De to check out

55+ Active Adult, Age Restricted & Active Lifestyle Communities DE Delaware

Also Soujorner......

Can't speak for other communities but we are allowed to have a person over the age of 18 staying with us. I know a few that have childern with them. Of course, they are young adults.

One couple ready to move in will have their daughter living with them while she gets her masters at one of DE's universities.

Hope this helps.

Default check out posts/threads by Charlie and Eliza/Mary

Nancy,
Check out threads/posts , especially the over 55 Active Adults; 39 pages of careful research and experience. Great place to start...

Good luck; I've just started my search, too.

Jan
