AltoRose is on a distinguished road
Default Apartment complexes in North Wilmington

My husband and I have lived at the Village of Fox Point for five years. Thanks to the crappy economy (my husband lost his job earlier this year), we are looking to move someplace cheaper when our lease ends in February.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these apartment communities:

Colony North

Brandywine Apartments

Stratford Apartments

I've checked out the reviews at apartmentratings.com, but of course I'm taking them with a huge chunk of salt---I know people are way more likely to post about negative experiences than positive ones.

Or does anyone have any other recommendations for good apartment complexes? We need to stay in the North Wilmington area (I work in PA and would prefer to not commute from Bear, New Castle or Newark). We are looking for a quiet, safe one-bedroom apartment that preferably includes heat. Our budget is $600-900 a month.

Thank you!

For the love of God stay away from Colony North! It's just not in a good section of town. Brandywine Apartments are no better.

Startford would be the lesser of the three evils. Also, consider Top of the Hill apartments or Greenville Place Apartments.

Good Luck
