Default Breakfast in Dover

We are going to be in Dover tomorrow morning and need a good place to eat breakfast. Nothing fancy, just good food. We have eaten at the Sheraton brunch, which is always good, but we really like a diner.

Hi SMX

I would have to recomend Countrie Eaterie. Not expensive, great atmosphere and very good food along with excellent service.

I have been there for lunch, breakfast and dinner and enjoyed all.

It is on south state street nearer dover downs.

Sorry I just saw this post of yesterday. We were traveling yesterday and I didn't have time to check around.

We ate at The Sheraton, where in the past we have had wonderful breakfasts. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for this morning. Breakfast was inedible and for $22, I expect it to be great. If you know anyone who works the weekend breakfast shift (wait staff and cooks), please encourage them to try another vocation. They are currently in the wrong field. It really is our fault. Had a feeling when we walked in and should have listened to our inner thought.

We have eaten at the Countrie Eatery and always liked it and the view. Maybe the next time.

SXM....sorry about your experience at the Sheraton today. I ate dinner there once and was not that impressed.
I Hop is a good place for breakfast or Countrie Eaterie.
There is not that much of a choice in the dover area.......that I know of anyway.

I love the Countrie Eaterie and that would have been my suggestion as well. We went to a Christmas party at the Sheraton over the weekend and I was not impressed either.

I have never been but I've been told Kirby and Holloway on Rt. 13 is great for breakfast. I use to go to Hollywood Diner on Rt. 13 for breakfast but it has new owners and have not been in since. They had the best scrapple. IHOP or Bob Evans are always good too. I love to eat breakfast out but usually don't make it because of the kids!

Kirby and Holloway has great crab cakes too. I was amazed as to how good they were for the price.

We also went to Hollywood diner when we first moved here and have not been back since
