Default I'm cool! Even though I'm a man-nurse

Hello all. My wife are considering moving around that area (she has family in West Grove, Pa) and I have a couple of questions about the health care systems there. We are both nurses currently working in Charlotte, NC and have also worked throughout Florida.

First off, how is the nursing pay up and around that area. We do not mind having to drive a little (as we will probably live outside the city) so the commute is not a huge deal for us and we are willing to drive for the right pay. I have looked at a couple of hospital's websites but I don't wanna contact them directly until I am a little more sure about our relocation. I don't want to waste their or my time. I specialize in ICU and she works post cath lab.

Second, are there hospitals that are better to work for than others??? I would love some first hand feedback on this.

I appreciate any input.

Thanks in advance

Are you thinking or weighing whether to live in PA near in-laws or live in Delaware?

Christiana Care (CC) is the largest medical facility. It is located in Stanton near Delaware Park. CC has many satellite locations, but hospital is in Stanton.

If you are looking at the whole state of DE, Bay Health is the biggie in central DE. Kent General is the primary hospital, and is part of the Bay Health network. I'm sure you can "google" for them.

You might want to check the boards at allnurses.com. They have a board for each state with a lot of salary discussions.
