Land rent means you buy the home but rent the land it is on. You have to be careful and remember land rent will most likely increase.
Some communities are outrageous and rob you blind with land lease.
We live in one where we lease the land and it is not bad at all and we are very happy with our choice to live here. Been here 2 years now.

There are pros and cons.

Try pulling up land verses lease thread in DE city data.
