Default Question about Wilmington...

I was born in Wilmington in 1970, my father worked for Columbia Gas and was transferred from NYC to their headquarters in Wilmington. When I was 18 mos we moved to Houston and I've been here ever since. I have only been through DE on a train heading to Philly and did get to see the hospital in which I was born (St. Joseph's) from the window.

We lived in a neighborhood that was called "Cherry" -something Farms. I wish I could remember the street. I want to say it started with an H. Both of my parents have passed away, unfortunately, and I'd like to find my old house. Apparently some family friends bought it from them and still lived in it as of mid-90s but I have no way of knowing that now.

If anyone is familiar with that subdivision, please let me know.

Thanks!

Polly

I'm not overly familiar with the area, but a quick Google Search provides this link I found (you may have to copy/paste the whole thing into your browser window): http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...,0.057507&om=1

Oops, actually, I'm wondering if what you knew as St. Joseph's Hospital is now known as St. Francis' Hospital.
Here's a link for that, and there is a street that is near the hospital that would also probably be visible from the train. That street was called Howland Street as can be seen in this map.
