Two female grad students, very quiet and non-smokers, 25 and 24 years old, would like recommendations for a safe 2-bedroom apartment in Newark or surrounding area. They have cars so can drive several miles from campus. Safety and quiet, with quiet law-abiding neighbors, is a priority. Budget is roughly $1,000/month.

Suggestions? The reviews on the apartment site are really scary -- describing break-ins, loitering, drug dealing.

Please help!
Thanks so much!

School Bell Apartments (Rt 7 by Rt 273) or St Andrew's (Rt 40) would be my recommendation - my wife lived in apartments off campus and it was always a party scene and loud - stay away from Newark to avoid falling prey or dealing with the drug scene (which I'd say is on pretty much every campus in the US)
