Default Utility Costs

As part of estimating my household operating costs for next year, I'm looking to get estimates on utility costs in Kent County, specifically natural gas, electricity and water.

When you share your information, can you also please include your usage - if you can tell from your bills. Usage is usually measured by CCF for natural gas, KwH in electricity and gallons of water.

The companies that will provide my services include Tidewater Utilities (water), Delaware Electric Cooperative (electricity) and Chesapeake Gas (natural gas). If you use those companies, your data will be terrific.

The house I am buying in Kent County is approximately the same size as the one I currently own in New York so I expect that my usage will be about the same.

Thanks in advance for sharing your data. I appreciate your assistance.

Hi Charley......

We have Chesapeake Gas for heating, dryer and cooking along with a heat pump

Not sure I'm reading this right but it looks like CCF used was 53 for Jan to FEb with a bill of $97.43
Average daily cost for Feb is $3.48 wit 1.89 units and a temp of 33o

Delaware Electric coop for Feb
usage 893 bill was $111.25

Water is tidewater. We are billed every 3 months
usage 957 equivalent to 9.570 gallons
$104.44

Hope this helps!!
