I went and looked at housing developments there yesterday. A lot of the newly built homes are going with a private water supplier. If that helps at all...I would say the water is NOT good there...I am tossed up between moving to York, PA, DE, or Raleigh, NC.

Hey NJ...I would go to PA if it were me, but I am sorta of biased about that, I do think that the eastern side of the state is best, lots of jobs, sunny and prettier. Have you done a side by side comparison on best places to live? Do a goggle, you can then see how far your money will go in each case, its pretty awesome!

There are alot of dump sites in VA where I live too, was shocked, of course they are not near the milliondollar homes down here, but everywhere else, they surely are...seems you can't escape this.

PghPaNative, I am leaning more towards Raleigh, NC then anywhere else. I currently live in Severna PArk, MD. I love it here...but the cost of living is driving me out of my house. With PA I am afraid my husband would not be able to find a job. He is a police officer and the only places I see hiring, with a high enough salary to live off of is York PA area. Pa just seems like there is not a whole lot there...then again the only roads I have traveled on in PA are 81 to 83 and NE extention

NJ..

The housing will be affordable for you guys, that's for sure. And they have the four seasons, and it is a fairly larged size city from what I know of it Yes... the cost of living is way out there too, my hubby had his first job in Annapolis. MD is known for that, We are still looking into a few different states to move too, there are affordable places to live still, thankfully they still do exist!

Please let us know what you heard about the toxic waste near Dover. I live near a plant, that I think has toxic chemicals. I know that after it rains, I smell sulfur. When I lived in Jersey I loved the smell of the rain. Now, it stinks!! I'm really considering moving out of Delaware. Two of my kids have been having intestinal problems since we moved out here. I'm fearful that it could be the air quality or maybe the water.
