There is a fairly large population of people of Indian Origin in delaware. If it is your desire to live amongst them please DM me and I will share what I know about that subject.

How true, Delawhere!
You would only appreciate that if you left your country, you had a wife and a young child & let's just say your wife cannot -like several non-english spwaking europeans - could not speak the local language - english - well enough to communicate effectively.... then ..... living close to people who hail from your country becomes very important because they become your safety-net!!

I understand armx's point. If you have never lived in another country where NO one speaks your native tongue then it's hard to understand the feeling. My daughter lived in China for a year, in a city where there were very, very few tourists or people that spoke even a little English. She said that she got so desperate to speak English that if she happened to hear it spoken in a crowd, she would immediately go up to talk with the strangers, just to be able to speak English. OTOH, I know several first generation Indian families that have very successfully integrated themselves into our small town and simply get together with other Indian families for social outings.
Armx, I'm not sure why you would ask the OP to direct message you about this, unless you are soliciting his business. Whatever you know about this subject might be helpful to other posters too.

Thanks for the responses, I do wanna say however, that even though it's true that people do like to associate with their own kind, it's not that they do so exclusively, armx's point is valid and has some merit to it, but my husband and I both speak fluent english, i too have worked in the US in the past, and my husband continues to do so, so it's not just the language issue in our case and infact many of our friends' cases. The main issue is social connections, we are (all Indians) all raising our children away from our country of origin, and this presents some challenges, if we associate with people from our cultural background atleast once in a while, that helps us make our kids more comfortable to their heritage, and helps us to give them a better understanding of the customs and traditions of their country of origin. So you see it serves many purposes.

Toobusytoday: I just wanted to be discrete.
usadesi: fine perspective revealing post. Are you looking for an apartment-townhouse complex or a single family - townhouse community with the Indian flavor?
