moving to Delaware with kids
We are moving to De. this summer. We bought a house on the border of Newark/Bear in a neighborhood called Belden. My daughter will be going to Appo School District. I am looking for any info on the area. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good pediatrician, general practitioner for my husband and I, and Ob/gyn? I know am I asking a lot in one thread, but I am looking for a lot I guess. We are also looking for a good Christian Church if anyone has any suggestions. I would also like to know what there is to do with my kids in the way of fun activities. I know there is a Playnation in Elkton, any other fun activity suggestions would be appreciated. Any Moms Clubs that anyone might know of? Feel free to send me a message or reply with any info
thanks

Pediactrics- Nemours Pediatrics, there are several offices around the Wilmington area and associated with AI Dupont Childrens Hospital with an
excellent reputation
OBGYN- Lynn Talley DO, located in Newark, Deliveries, Christiana Hospital
Family Practice- Total Care Physicians, 3 locations one in Glasgow, one in the Omega Center across from Christiana Hospital, there a group practice
Don't really know alot about activities for the kids in that area, I do know that a new YMCA opened there in the last couple of years, family memberships are avaiable. Swimming as well as a gym for yearly fee, it would definately be worth looking into. I believe it's location is Route #40.
Hope some one else will give some imput, as I am in the North Wilmington area. Good Luck to you.

We are with the Brac, so we have to use whatever packing/moving company they provide. Thank you for your help though.

Family doctor: Jill Mackey, located at Fox Run Shopping Center. Has been rated as one of the best in the area.
Family activities: YMCA (has two outdoor swimming pools for summer); Lums Pond State Park; Glasgow Park (across from Y); Borders has quite a few activities for children on Saturdays.

O great thanks Fox Run is close for us.
We went to Glasgow park once and it was cute. Where is the Borders? Are there any libraries close by?

Bear Library is in Governor's Square Shopping Center, Route 40. Borders is at Routes 58 and 4 (I think, but it's easy to get to).

Also, Boys and Girls Club on Route 40 in Bear. Ice skating at UD (they also have the international skaters, etc.) and Girl Scouts are in Newark. Several times a year, New Castle County publishes a "newspaper" with all kinds of things for kids and the family. One was just published about two weeks ago.
