Hi there!
So we moved to NY two years ago after living in DE for two years. We purchased a home in DE in the Trolley Square area. Our renters of two years have given notice and we are considering selling our property as we plan on staying in NY.

My questions?
What is the real estate market like these days, in DE in general and in Trolley Square?

Does anyone know a really good real estate agent in the area, maybe they sold your home??

What is the going rate to get a good real estate agent these days? Is 5% going to fly or do you need to pay the full 6%? I am noticing here in NY the brokers seem to split 5% ...

Thanks, any info is greatly appreciated.

Patty

RE market in DE is as slow as everywhere else. Avg. "'days on Market" varies from 75 days to 200 days in Trolley Square area. If priced aggressively and if the renters have taken good care of it(meaning needs minimal sprucing up) market time could be reduced. Is it a town-row house or a detached home? If you would like to have further information feel free to ask, will share as much as I am capable of.

DEtoNY, Please note the terms of service for this site: http://www.city-data.com/forumtos.html ,"Recommendations are allowed for posters that have at least 10 posts. One cannot recommend himself/herself. The only area where recommendations are not permitted is real estate, however general responses, such as "we have many helpful and knowledgeable real estate agents on this forum - just DM them" are fine."

If any one replies with a name or recommends themselves, they would be breaking the terms of service. Sorry about that.

Ok, sorry about that. That makes sense as I'm sure you want people to get unbiassed informations on cities and real estate etc!

Thanks!
