Default Giving Some Love for the DE Shore!

The Wife and kids have been down to our beach house in Fenwick Island for 2 weeks, and I've been here for just over a week, and though we've had the house for almost 4 years, this is the first time I've really begun to appreciate just how great this area is.....first, the weather has been absolutely spectacular my entire time down here- comfortable humidity, nice breezes, beautiful blue skies with just a touch of some clouds. And you've got the beach of course, and the waters are warm enough to enjoy. The bay has been nice and calm- went kayaking and crabbing. We did a lot of biking around the bay.... You've got the outlet malls to do a bit of shopping, tons of restaurants to choose from, the action of Ocean City if you want it, the nightlife for those into the clubs.... and the drive here from the DC area is not a bad one.

No wonder we stopped going to the Outer Banks or Virginia beach!

Is property in Fenwick Island affordable and what does the place have in terms of amenities?

I bought a place in Bayside- it is a development built by Freeman, the same outfit that did Sea Colony and Bear Trap, although this place is a whole notch up from either of those two. If you want to check it out go to

livebayside.com

technically speaking this place is not on Fenwick Island but is 4 miles down Rte 54 from the ocean in Selbyville.

The homes here start in the mid 300's on up. When the development first started they were selling condos, townhouses, duplexes, single family homes, and luxury grand estate homes with prices from the 300's to over a million. But the realestate market tanked and Freeman got out of the house building end of it, so the current new homes being offered are all being built by NV homes.

The amenities here are fantastic. This is a golf course community, we have 2 pools, exercise room, tennis, biking, kayaking, crabbing, fishing (the development is right on the bay), there is an outdoor pavillion for summer concerts, a kiddie play section with carousel, a Harris Teeter right at the entrance. Anyways, you can check it out online.

So today yet another beautiful day here in paradise- low humidity, breezy with temps in low 80's. Took the family down to Asseteague Island for a nice bike rise and picnic!

lots of homes for sale here-

Bayside Sales

also if you go to livebayside.com the homes link will take you to new construction. Honestly the older homes have much more interesting architectural designs and elevations but the market downturn pushed Freeman out of the home construction business
