Default Great service from Sussex Co. HVAC company!

I should have posted this before. It's been a couple of months since we contracted with them.

North Star.....on Rt. 26 at Vine's Creek.....did a wonderful job for us. They were prompt and professional.

We called five or six different companies before we found them. With the other companies our calls were not returned, or they didn't show up.

North Star sent an estimator out within an hour, followed up with an installation supervisor, and had a couple of guys at the house the next day. Their plan and design was far superior to other 'suggestions' we received.

It can be very difficult to find good service people in this area. When you find a good one, I think it's important to let other people know about them. It's human nature to complain about poor service, but I would really like to hear about positive experiences in southern Delaware. We are doing a major remodel, and weeding through the companies can be daunting.

I'm glad I lucked into North Star. I'll use them again.

Incredibly true. Local business practices here leave ALOT to be desired. Schedules dont exist here and the standard generally is pretty low. A few of my friends that moved here noticed the same thing. Very frustrating when you are sitting at home waiting for the repairman to arrive and they never do. Gotta love slower lower.

Glad to see you found someone...

I had A/c problems in the late spring in NCC and called around and tried those guys with the big orange vans...all the guy talked about was being a small business and "family owned" - well, something didn't hit me right and all they could say is that it was time to replace a 7 yr old unit. I insisted that they put the freon in and the thing cranked away all summer without issue - no freezing up like it did in the spring.
They had a laminated paged book with prices of "suggested" and their prices. Plus, they were relentless on having people call back trying to get an estimator out to price out a new unit.

Well, now this "family" business has replaced the Budweiser sign on the Phillies scoreboard - look for it on the right side (the grey boxes), very bottom - I don't know about you, but what mom and pop can afford to advertise on the MLB team's scoreboard?

I get a feeling like there is nothing but some good ole boys scamming those not original from the area and bigger businesses intent on deceiving the influx of new home owners to the area. Good service is hard to find no matter where you go.
