Default Trick or Treating

I just moved to Delaware from NJ and in NJ we would go trick or treating by 3pm (right after school.) On a Sat. they would start at 1 and go till like 9. I am hearing that kids don't go out till much later here. Does anyone know what time I can bring my kids out, they want to go now. Well actually they wanted to go at 630am when they woke up haha.

I live in Middletown, DE.
We start dressing up around 8 am and don't go out before 5.30 or 6 pm.

the last trick or treaters usually stop by around 9.

happy halloween

hope you didn't get out too early...I've always trick or treated once it was dusk

this year we had 12 kids total...parents were saying that no one was home or they weren't answering the door - we don't have a LOT of kids in our modest neighborhood but there are enough. I guess the rain, the World Series and being a Saturday chased people away from the whole trick or treat thing...when I was a kid, I didn't come home until my bag was filled to the brim!

We started at 530, next year if it is on a Sunday we will just go to NJ. There were a lot of kids out, but it is not as big of a deal here. My friends in NJ started at 1 and go till late. Toms River area actually does trick or treating on Oct 30 too, so we go trick or treating two times.

We were told many people didn't have their lights on/weren't answering their doors - well, it was raining and it was a World Series night...
They also said kids were waiting for the bus instead of going door to door...maybe the Boys and Girls Club was doing something for them
