Default Preschools in Middletown?

My family will be moving to Middletown over the holidays. We currently live in VA, where my 3 year old is in a church based pre-school program. I'm interested in finding something similar for her when we move. Does anyone have any to recommend?

Thanks!

I would recommend looking into Glasgow Presbyterian Church on 896. It is right over the canal. I hear great things about it.

Yes! This is exactly what I was coming to say. Great school, my kids loved it, and we were there for years. If your kiddo starts at 3, they will go for 2 years. The first year of preschool is mostly about socialization and basic ABC/123 kinda stuff. The days are half-day and that first year, it's 2 days a week, I believe. Maybe it's 3--I don't remember, it's been a while! The second year of preschool is more socialization but the learning structure is more defined. Not strict in the least, but my boys definitely came home "teaching" me stuff. That second year, it was definitely 3 days a week/half day as well. It was inexpensive, too! If I remember correctly, we paid about $130 a month. All of us parents volunteered bringing in snacks for the class. We got to volunteer if we chose (I did!).

My boys loved it. We did, too! The teachers were loving and phenomenal.

Nope... I don't work there. I just wanted to share my experience with you. Hope you find the right fit wherever you go though. Good luck to ya!

I must admit, I am not the biggest fan of bethesda

My son went to bright beginnings in Middletown (next to cedar lane elem. school), very nice and family organized preschool.

My daughter went to 'children at work' - our all time favorit - but not run by a church.
they are on 301, offer preschool, kindergarten and daycare, have a great backyard, a butterlfly house, some reptiles (in cages ), fish, huge sandboxes and do a lot of hands-on stuff and fieldtrips each week AND are very inexpensive.

I've also heard good things of green acres on rt 13 and tried several times to get into st. andrews preschool, but we have never made it in.
