I got tired of the 95 commute and the slow loss of its Mid-Atlantic/Southern sensibilities to Philadelphia arrogance and just plain rudeness. Traded walking the dogs daily in my neighborhood for 12 years, and having my smiles met by blank stares by some neighbors just across the street for a place where people wave when you drive past and the dogs run free on my farm. Philly's attitude was starting to make me mean, and I felt that I had to leave before it became permanent.
