Magnolia Delaware?
Does anyone have any info on this place? I have a possible job offer there. I just wanted to know what it's like, the people, cost of living, fun things to do. I'm 24 yrs old, single, looking for people my own age to be around and for that type of atmosphere.

response to mbpsr
There are a lot of retired people moving to DE. I am retired so don't know much about young social life.
I will tell you that there are 42 sex offenders in the magnolia area along. I love living here and I'm in a very nice community but was shocked when I found the statistics on this issue. Magnolia is not that big and there are 42 of them.
I don't know if you are male or female but thought I should pass this info on to you.
Good luck

The population is less than 300. I had to do the math on that one. 16% of the population are sex offenders. Wow...

Holy Crap.
Upon looking into it I found 130 sex offenders
Map of register offenders in your neighborhood
No way can the total population be 270 with 130 offenders. Something is def wrong here.

I will say the one big problem today with labeling people sex offenders. If you get caught taking a **** on the side of a highway because you couldn't make the rest area...sex offender.

But you have to be convicted of some sort of sex crime to be registered. It doesn't count if your neighbors just thing you're a pervert.

Right and getting a ticket for taking a **** on the side of the road will convict you.

sex offenders
I didn't check the site you included in your post but I did go to city data and this is what I got:
to MPBSR
According to our research there were 42 registered sex offenders living in Magnolia, Delaware in early 2007.
The ratio of number of residents in Magnolia to the number of sex offenders is 6 to 1.
magnolia is a small town but there are more than 300 people I know for sure.
I checked and most of the sex offenders are on Nascar lane and Millchop lane. That is where they have the run down trailer parks that make you wonder how someone can live in them.
Understand........there are many really nice homes in Magnolia too. Some new communities and some not so new.
When we moved here we were so surprised how people in these parts mix.

If someone thinks you are exposing yourself, then you can get a possible conviction as a sex offender. So keep an empty bottle in the car.

When you go to Magnolia's city page, click on the zip code, 19962. It shows 42 offenders in the zip code (the same number used for the town) and according to the 2005 population estimate, there are 6,180 people in that zip code. Maybe the ratio is skewed because it's using the residents of the town only, which is very small.
