We're moving to Sussex County later this spring with our baby and I was just wondering if anyone has any inside skinny on schools, neighborhoods, pools, mommy groups, etc.

We're very excited to be closer to the water and outta the big congested city!

Default Move to Lewes

A great place to move to in Sussex is Lewes. Great family town, low taxes, very good schools, close to Rehoboth and other beach towns.....check it out. What are you looking for in more detail??

Also consider milford, de. My son is in Morris Early Childhood Center and it is terrific. They have a great pre-school program and offer K and First grade as well. He's loved it there. Milford is cheaper than Lewes which is why I suggested the area and we raised two boys there and they love it and we do too. You're close to the water and only about 15 minutes from Lewes. Let me know if you want some more information about the area.

Hello,

I agree with sjkern. Definitely consider the Milford area. The housing and cost of living are both less and the schools are rated just as well as Cape Henlopen schools in Lewes. In addition to being 15-20 minutes to Rehoboth and Lewes, you are also about 5-10 minutes from the bay beaches which are quiet all year long! Good luck on your search!
