At prime commute time generally, APG is about an hour from Route 896 & The canal; the northern most part of Middletown.

1) Add 10-15 minutes to reach the west side of Middletown, near Route 896/301 & Route 299. A lot of big truck traffic.
2) Also add 15 minutes to reach Odessa, near Route 13 & Route 299, via Route 896.
3) Avoid any commute (in my opinion) that involves traveling any distance on Route 299 between Route 1 and Route 896/301. It is a huge mess at commute times.

Me too! I'm not a big fan of that little gas station on 13, and the only other way to get gas (from Odessa area) is to go down Main St. into Middletown. I don't spend a lot of time in that area.

(I would also love a Sheetz. Is that blashpeme in DE?)

Love the Wawa coming too. Now if they'd only re-open St Anne's Church Road I could almost avoid Downtown Main St unless I have a craving for soup.

why do they have construction work going on EVERYWHERE in town at the same time ? Sometimes I wonder, if these departements even communicate

I live in Spring Arbor, a 55+ community on the west side of Middletown, about seven minutes drive from the MD line. We are off Route 301 where it intersects with 299. Try to avoid traveling from east to west or west to east on 299 in Middletown - it isn't Long Island but it may seem like it at times.

I don't think so but this is Wawa country! I don't think Sheetz dare move into this area (although I like Sheetz a lot more)

Federal stimulus money - projects had to be started by a certain time in order to get the funding...makes a mess of the roads as they all are working at the same time
