Very interesting, Joe! Thanks for your input. As a product of the Polish neighborhood in Wilmington - Franklin St., Broom St. and anchored by St. Hedwigs Church, I can understand where you're coming from.

You are both prolific contributors to this forum. I was a little perplexed why you are at odds in these posts.

Joe, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this issue. As Camrynh said, it was fascinating to read from the guy who has first hand knowledge and grew up in the Little Italy whether or not the old charm is still there or not.

I withdraw my comment about Joe's supposed "agenda". It was an idiotic, meaningless thing for me to say. He supplied some good, interesting history. It seems we were talking at cross-purposes really. I was only saying that in 2010 there doesn't seem to be much left to the "community" apart from a few landmarks and a very large number of Italian-surnamed people living in northern Delaware.
