Live in PA and visiting DE. I have purchased an annual pass for the Delaware state parks - where to place the decal??? The web site says front left windshield unless your out of state law dictates elsewhere.

Can I assume that means left side as in when you are sitting in the drivers seat? Anywhere along the left side of the windshield? In PA we are required to place car inspection decals in the lower left side of the windshield ( as viewed from the drivers seat). Pa says other decals can be any place as long as it does not obstruct your view. However, I think you also can not place them in a way that the vin number can not be read. There is also a light sensor in the lower left corner of the dash board that I don't want to block.

So where do you place that annual pass park decal?

Mary

I would suggest that it should be on the same side as your PA decal ...but between mid-height to the top (so as not to obstruct driver's view).

The requirement for putting it on the left is so that as one drives up to the security check point (which is generally on the left of the driver) the checker can easily see the decal and allow one to proceed into the park w/minimum delay.

I had the same question so I called the number in the packet. They specified on the driver's side. They also asked if I was out of state with a sticker. My response was no but you might want to call that number to find the exact placement. I agree the wording is vague, they really need to change the wording to indicate drivers side of the windshield.

if you put it directly above your inspection stickers, it should be a non-issue

Smart move buying the yearly pass. Anywhere along the left (driver's side) edge will work just fine.
