Happy Friday!
Good one! Apparently I've repped you too recently for the C-D Forum programme to allow me to give you rep for that post, but it certainly deserves it. I do worry that often the DE forum only seems to be about +55 communities!

Why would you worry about this?

The DE forum tends to have a very narrow focus and relatively little activity compared to a lot of states, albeit ones with admittedly larger populations. I haven't compared us to say the Wyoming forum, which would be a state of comparable population. However, I'd bet the Wyoming forum is more interesting than the DE forum. Yes, I understand that +55 communities are of great interest to those who are looking to move to one or apparently to those who already live in one, but you gotta admit it is a very specialised and narrow focus of interest.

I believe that's why it's titled "55+ communities".
I was in Wyoming, Delaware just the other day.

If you think Wyoming would be more interesting that Delaware, give it a shot. It's available to you any time.

Yes, you are quite correct. It is very specialized and quite a narrow focus of interest. But I certainly wouldn't worry about it. In fact, those not interested in 55+ communities in Delaware probably just ignore it. Those who do share that interest have found some helpful information.

The Delaware forum is as wide open as every other state for those who wish to start a thread about any topic related to Delaware. So if you have another idea for how those interested in Delaware can share other information, start a thread and let the conversation begin.

What I find interesting is that the 55+ comunities thread is the most active and viewed thread I have found in ANY of the fourms on city-data regardless of the size of the state or it's population!

It's very true. This thread has been read almost a quarter million times in the almost four years since we started it. Many other threads have come and gone during that time, but this one endures and continues to help those looking into 55+ communities.

Making nasty comments about the thread will not make it go away. If you don't like it, stop reading it!

Wyoming De is a nice little town. Did you go to Witt meatmarket?

I agree with your thoughts going. The thread is entitled 55+ and a according to mods, we must stay on topic. Thats it in a nutshell.

If anyone doesn't lke this thread.....Don't read it......it's really that simple.

This thread has also helped a lot people who plan to relocate to De to spend their glorious golden years. I just wish it was there when we decided 4 years go.
even though we have been here 4 years......this thead has also helped me in learning a thing or two.
Always keep an open mind.
