Default Apple Scrapple Festival - Bridgeville

This weekend - It wouldn't be Fall in Kent/Sussex Counties, without attending the Apple Scrapple Festival for a kick-off! Like other small town events, this one gets bigger and better every year! Meet your friends there, or make new ones! Extra friendly people!

Ladies - enter the Skillet Toss Contest, or Men-enter the 5k Hogg Jogg Race. Or, enter the Scrapple Chunkin' Contest. Definitely a place to let your hair down and experience mid-lower Delaware!

Default Punkin' Chunkin' - Bridgeville

This weekend, Nov. 5, 6, 7
There is so much to do in Delaware, and so many events going on, I can't imagine people of any age having nothing to do on a beautiful fall weekend. Granted, Punkin' Chunkin' may not be enjoyable for some, but it sure beats sitting home, and it IS something to see, if only once. Location is east of Bridgeville, directions are on this link shown here. We're going back today for the remainder of the event, and to cheer on our Punkin' Chunkin' team!

Everyone again should check out Delaware Park Saturdays, moonbounces for kids and the best part is throwing a $1.00 on a horse and running to see the race like you bet $100.00. Its a big field next to the track where you can bring a grill and cookout. I usually go 4 or 5 times every summer and have a blast with my wife and kids..... I know what you're thinking, hanging out with degenerate gamblers but thats not the case, maybe they're inside but outside is picnic tables and alot of families, tons of kids birthday parties. Check their website for post times.
