I have heard there are some risks, what do you guys feel ?
Its the #17 lower left extreme. Right now I have no problems and its not hurting at all, but its doctors advice.

Your dentist advise is not unreasonable.

3rd molar, the molar located at the end of the jaw, is the wisdom tooth. If the wisdom tooth does not have room to grow out appropriately (straight upward) or it is growing at an angle, it is best to take it out. This will prevent from creating future problems with the rest of your teeth.
