I don't use Grape Seed Oil for anything. I used it years ago in some salads but do not anymore.
I use Grape Seed EXTRACT for over 2 decades for general health and chronic issues like allergies/sinus and as I've said my gums are very very improved with grape seed EXTRACT.
Any scientific journal articles touting the benefits of grape seed extract? The link takes me to an article for dental plans dated 2008 about a French study that said it "may" help fight the bacteria that cause gum disease. I have an open mind but I practice evidence based dental hygiene. I would like to see the science behind it.

Reason: Corrected "grade" to "Grape"
From a layman's point of view and my almost 21 yrs of experience I can say this. There isn't millions being spent to do scientific research on grape seed. Millions+ are spent in the U.S. for sure on pharma drugs coming out every day. The FDA, CDC etc could care less about grape seed extract.
I've thought for years IF everyone was taking grape seed extract there would NOT be the so called need for more and more FDA "approved" drugs.
For me, I have not taken a FDA approved drug for allergy/sinus issues in going on 21 yrs. My dental health is such that I don't need to spend my $$$$ at the dental offices.
That's what I can say. There are hundreds of links/sites on the "grape" OPC's -- science you can try to find what scientists say. I'm satisifed with my results from the couple decades of taking this OPC.
Check city of hope, mayo, etc on Grape Seed Extract and Cancer(s).
So you want to make these fantastical claims about the miracle that is Grape seed extract, but can not direct me to any peer reviewed, reputable information backing up your claims because "Big pharma?" You want me to take your word for it. Over the Internet? I asked a legitimate question because I was willing to learn. I was hoping you would have something other than to tell me to "do my research."
I'm my scientist, you want to meet me, come on over. See how many drugs I have in my house. I spent almost 21 yrs learning and no one on the internet teaching me. I'm not a scientist, again, there are many many links/sites on these OPC's. Believe them or don't. I am the messenger and if someone wants to pursue what I say, do your research too. My friends and I help each other and when we get info from a friend, we do our research too, don't ask them to prove scientific tests.

I agree with the poster who wants to see scientific studies about safety and efficacy. I understand that some find that unnecessary and are content with anecdotal evidence from the web, but if I'm going to put something in my body I'd rather read a study to determine if it's safe and that it performs as claimed. Otherwise I'm either risking my health or wasting my money.
Grape seed extract has not been shown to have any benefit for dental health.
The problem is that there are people out there who have slight emotional or mental issues and then they get sold a lie about things like grape seed oil and ruin their teeth. Or people who struggle with depression get talked in to St John's Wart (or whatever it's called) and end up killing themselves.
That type of spam is dangerous and I'd like to see the board police it better.

You don't have to take my word for anything, just ignore my info. If I don't like what a poster talks about I ignore, don't push for more info. Simple.

I agree there are some emotional/mental cases out there.
