My dental health is very good approaching 78, thanks to grape seed extract, coconut oil toothpaste (make my own) and flossing. No dentist visit in about 5 yrs.

I saw that study on flossing, don't buy it.

I take care of all my health and it's GREAT to not be a slave to docs and dentists.

My big mess is a lot of complications from a hip replacement.

Flossing gets those little cavity making pieces out that are stuck between the teeth. I floss twice a day, feels good after brush/floss time.
Sometime these articles do more damage than good.

I'm in the "I do it but I don't particularly like to" group. My dental hygienist said using a water pic with 1/4 strength listerine would work as long as I do it at least daily. So now I still floss with those plastic 'floss-picks' you get at CVS and water pic at bed time.

I floss every day, my mouth would be gross if I didn't.

The "studies" that indicated flossing doesn't do any good were beyond flawed....one of them only lasted one day, some of them only lasted 2 weeks, plus the patients didn't necessarily know HOW to floss correctly, etc. The whole thing was bogus and ridiculous.

I do too. You can get floss with slippery wax on it, Oral B Satin?

I floss regular now because of early gum disease warning

I only floss if something is stuck in my teeth like popcorn or corn on the cob.

This is what I use for the same problem, works great...

I get mine at either Target or Walgreens.
