The news link does not name the actual article to allow anyone to pull it up and perform a critical review to see if the study design is flawed or not. Maybe this is real, but based on a journalist's interpretation we can only guess.
None of us were involved in the University study and smokers should not do anything to help with dental work needed from the destruction caused by their smoking. Question Everything. They should NOT take any antioxidants to help with their gum destruction. The less they help themselves the more money the dentists will get from them.
