I can’t afford a dentist so I am posting here asking for tips

for a few months I have had pain in my back top tooth. Its my wisdom tooth I think. at first it felt sharp and cut into my cheek. it doesn’t do that anymore but it feels weird like sensitive? whenever food hits it or i rub my tongue in it. its like theres a gap there if that makes sense. If it gets cold it starts to hurt. Also it makes these two teeth in the front of my mouth hurt bc they hurt at the same time. it gets worse when I lay down or eat something cold and sweet. not sure what’s wrong and it doesn’t always hurt so idk. I have been using orajel and it works but takes awhile. i don’t have money for a dentist so I’d there any thing else I can do?

Thanks

If its infected you need antibiotics. If it bothers you a few weeks once a year or less, its coming in. If it bothers you more often than that you're going to want to get it pulled, eventually. I suspect your front teeth hurt because they are being pushed to make room for the wisdom teeth. A dentist might prescribe up to 800mg of Advil (Ibuprofen) for tooth pain but be careful taking that much; Ibuprofen is not kind to the stomach. Some low cost health facilities will do dental work and if there is a dental school nearby they need patients to train their students.

Honestly there is no way you are going to correct whatever the issue is without visiting a dentist. Maybe look for a local dental school, they will sometimes perform work on volunteers for a much lower rate than you would be charged in an office.

Borrow from your parents or someone else and go to the dentist. Many will work with you on payment plan if you ask...

Many have a tough time paying for dental work. I've had plenty done in my life and now take care of my dental health with what I do. Be more aware of what you are eating, sugars etc. And until you can get to a dentist, look my Myrrh Tincture and I keep it handy for anytime I might get a pain in my mouth. Even do light rinse with hydrogen peroxide, I do a light rinse every night before I go to sleep.

You def. need to make sure it's not an infection. Infections in the mouth should not be ignored. If you start noticing a salty taste in your mouth you really really need to go.

Many dentist will work with you, and many have care credit options. I urge you to get it looked at.

In my state if you are on any kind of public assistance there is a free dental clinic you can go to. All they do is pull teeth. But it will relieve your pain.

You can look here. https://www.nc211.org/dental-clinics

Try rinsing your mouth out with strong green tea, or if its inflamed a hot (not boiling) green tea bag placed on the gum above can help with the infection.

The only thing going to a dentist will guarantee is more trips needed to a dentist. If you really suspect an infection you can drop into a quick care and they will prescribe you antibiotics for much less than a dentist visit.

1) Find a way to get to a dentist
2) Deal with it until the nerve eventually dies
