Is the dental implant part and the cost of the crowns separate?

I need 2 dental implants. I had 2 extractions with bone graft 2 days ago. ( 19 and 20 molar, lower left )
The stitched everything up and now I'm waiting for 3 months, and then I'm scheduled to come in for my implants.

The implants for 2 teeth, along with bone graft and everything else ( except the crowns ) will cost me about 5700 dollars. I have already paid 1250 of that. I will pay the rest once the implants are in place.

And once the implants are in, I have to wait another couple of months for the crowns I believe.

Now, my question is. My insurance doesn't cover implants.
But will they cover the crowns? The reason I ask is, my insurance normally cover crowns at 50 %, but since these are attached to implants, I am not sure..

Does my question make any sense?

So far, they covered 60% of the bone graft and 80 % of the extraction of the 2 molars.

Just asking from other peoples experience and it's Sunday night and I'm at work and bored.
I will call and verify for myself later.

My husbands were separate....he paid for implant then was sent to different dentist for crown. Two separate bills. The process was very expensive.

Ok, so did his insurance pay for part of the crowns?

My insurance covers nothing of the implants, but I hope they will cover the crowns at 50...

I'm in the process now.. started the work before I moved and had the implant uncovered Friday. I have more appointments over the next 2 months.

Luckily we have 2 dental insurances.. mine and husband and did the Flex Spending Accounts to defer the monies pretax.

Generally separate, and as you said, very expensive!

My insurance covered zero for implants. I would think the crowns are not covered. I had two implants with an attached tooth (bridge) and total cost was $7200. This did not include any extractions or grafting (did not need). But I supposed different plans can vary.

so I just called them.
The crown added on top on implant will be covered at 50 %. So that will save me a little.

Dang I need to raise my fees.

An "implant" is not a tooth. An implant is a artificial root. The crown is separate.

It can be confusing. An artificial root. That makes sense.

What do you mean by you have to raise your fees??

Yes, I would like to know that as well. Maybe he did not understand my post - I got an implant BRIDGE - this was two implants, two crowns with a fake "tooth" in the middle - is that better, toofache??? Anyway, the cost was lower with this guy than just about anywhere.
