Every case is different. I've had more than a dozen root canals and some of them have been fine for more than 30 years and others failed after a short time.
The reason someone might need an implant, by the way, is if there is not enough tooth surface to support the crowns if a bridge is required. Think of a drapery rod. If you hang a valance, a rod with a bracket on each end is sufficient. If you hang heavy curtains, you might need a center support.
There are some very good and, unfortunately, some very bad dentists who should never go near a tooth. Trust me, I know. I've had a lot of dental work in my life.
In root canal treatment there is very few chances of errors that dentist do. You have to check the dentist have proper license for dentistry if not you don't go further. If the dentist not doing well practice than this type of problem comes.
