Hi,

Moving to Denver with my family, I have a 3 year old daughter. We are city people, enjoy being able to leave our place and walk to restaurants and coffee shops. I enjoy using the public transit. I'm an artist as well and enjoy being near galleries etc... We are trying to compromise and I find a place sort of close to the city or within the city as well as have really good school system. Does anyone have any suggestions? We were told that DTC was a good area for families with young children. How is downtown area? Looking for a two or three bedroom apartment with swimming pool etc...

If you are truly 'city people' then you'll need to be close to downtown. Other parts of the city are nice, but not really 'city' by ordinary standards. Problem is, the schools aren't great down there.

There are not many apartment rentals downtown. There are plenty of places that are walkable in Denver.

Most of Denver outside the inner core has a suburban feel.
