Well, gosh-where to start....

After so much time spent researching about where I should move, I have decided it's Denver Anyone who has read my previous posts knows that I have been thinking about moving away from the Springs for a while. I can officially say that I have just about achieved my status as an RN with the golden "1 year experience," so now I can hopefully find a job more easily than say, a new grad could in Denver-even in this shakey economy!

I used to complain that I couldn't find people who were similar enough to me to do things with. Well, funny, now I'm about to start the process of moving, and I have many friends. We hike, go to drum circles, eat out, listen to music, play music...It's a lot of fun. But I still know that CoSpngs isn't for me. Way too competitive in ways that seem strange to me. Way too millitary (thank you millitary!), way too "must get ahead of the Jones's." This is just the vibe "I" get from the Springs. Most call me a granola, and maybe this is what makes the difference .

So, one of the reasons I've decided to move to Denver is that I hear there are many young professionals. Also, the male to female ratio is high (go me! I'm young, divorced, friendly and attractive-maybe I'll find a mate?). Also, Denver is so close to Estes Park, and Boulder, with all the hiking I can stand!!! The weather is nice and dry...The summers could be longer I guess, but some things are acceptable. One other thing is this- the one time I went to Denver to the 16th St. mall, the people were SO friendly! I mean, tons of eye contact from perfect strangers. People seemed open and nice. I like that!

Colorado is so full of color, full of outdoorsy things to do. So DEVOID of humidity and mosquitoes-I just can't see myself going anywhere else. I mean, I've heard that Flagstaff could be another hotspot for someone like me, but I think the answer is right in my own backyard, and my own face.

Thanks for reading

I'm glad you are so happy about your decision, and it sounds like it's a good move. But, I never thought of Colorado as 'full of color'
