My trip to Denver is this weekend and I'm wondering if I can get some restaurant recommendations from you guys.

I like pretty much anything I just can't eat pasta-I have a wheat allergy so any suggestions would be nice.
Oh, and not too pricy-entrees for $10-15 or so would be fine.

New Saigon on Federal (around 630 S. Federal) -- some of the best Vietnamese food anywhere.

Jerusalem Cafe near the University -- awesome middle-eastern food.

Denver has outstanding Mexican food, especially on its west and northwest side. We have both of the gringo variety: Benny's in Capitol Hill -- 301 E 7th Ave, Lola in Highlands (always crowded, now at their new location at 15th & Boulder in Highlands). As well as more authentic Mexican, for example, Taqueria Patzcuaro in Highlands (32nd & Clay). Even New Mexican, like Jack n' Grill (two locations, including 24th & Federal).

Denver is not Santa Fe, NM or even Pueblo, CO in terms of its authenticity and quality, but I think it's very good.

Yum! I love Vietnamese and Mexican! I've never had Middle Eastern food but I'm pretty adventurous so I'll have to give it a try!
Thanks!

We just got back from Denver this weekend. As far as finding entrees in your price range, good luck with that.

We went to El Tejado near Yale and Broadway and it's still pretty good. They have this entree with Red Snapper that was great for about $11.00 several years ago. Expect to spend 18.00 + now.

Denver has gotten pricey.

Default Westword Best List is The Best list of Food and Drink

Check out Westword, a weekly newspaper. Every year it comes out with a very extensive list of Best of Denver. The Food and Drink list is highly anticipated every year and it is a grand time to go from one restaurant to another--the new list has just come out for 2007 the link is:
Denver - Best Of - Food & Drink (2007) (http://bestof.westword.com/bestof/section.php?year=2007&section=35100 - broken link)

I agree- check out westword or gabby gourmet's website.
I also recommend chez jose in cherry creek- kind of a dive
also you can't go wrong w/ the Cherry Cricket, a denver institution
Japon, on Olde South Gaylord, has a a very nice sushi happy hour as well, I think they also do bento boxes very cheaply
little ollies is nice, also in cherry creek but it is getting crazily expensive

i second the recommendation of jerusalem. also little india (on 6th avenue at about grant) is very good.

There's a neat Hawaiian restaurant in Cherry Creek. I've never been to Jerusalem, but DD likes it a lot.

Brewery Bar II or III for excellent green chili/mexican
Taste of Philly for the best cheesesteak sandwiches
The gyros at the Jerusalem place by DU are excellent
Basil Doc's pizza
Rocky Mountain Diner -downtown - (havent been there for years)
Pei Wei is great fast stuff (PF Changs express)
Pappadeaux for some good pricey cajun
Just a few that come to mind. I miss Denver food, Tampa has nothing very exciting that I've found yet.
