Why aren't there more gyms downtown? I see Genesis Fitness in LoDo, and then the Denver Athletic Club and then Dumbells. Is that it?

Does anyone know anything about the Genesis Fitness gym? I may be getting a job near Union Station, and I have always used my lunch time at least twice a week for the gym, but it needs to be very close to work. Seems like Ballys or 24 Hr. would have a location downtown. I already have a 24 Hr. membership, but if I have to, I'd join something different like Genesis if it's decent at a reasonable price. I pay $25 a month for 24 Hr.

Just checked... Genesis is $29 a month, nothing down. Not bad if it's a good facility.

I can think of two other gyms:

The Colorado Athletic Club at the Tabor Center (16th Street Mall, closer to Union Station) and the YMCA near the 16th Street Mall and Broadway. Your potential new office building may also have a gym. Mine has one that everyone in the building can use for a relatively low fee per month and I think some of the other employers cover the fee for their employees.

I hope you get the job! Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions. If I get an offer, I'll ask about gym facilities. It would be in the Gates building. For some reason, I was thinking that the CAC was really expensive though.

Crossing my fingers on the job. Had a third interview a week ago, and from experience, if you didn't get the job, they usually let you know within a couple days. Who knows... if not, I'm in the running for another job that would be a block or two from 24Hr. in Glendale.
