i just moved back to denver's eastside from atlanta. i used to live here in the 90's. i would run on the track at manual high after hours & during summertime. i rode my bike past my old running track & was very impressed with the condition; very impressed. the next weekend i packed my gym bag & walked to the track to find it locked up. i walked back home, hopped on my bike & rode to east high school & found their impressive track locked up too. running on the measured track at my neighborhood high school is what i do in every city i lived in since grade school (my dad got me into it). adjacent cities in the metro area allow it... what happened? i can't be alone on this matter

That's sad to hear!
The tracks up here have no fencing what so ever.

My rule of thumb was obviously to never be on them when a class was in session. You would think this would be obvious, but my son told me last year they were out on their track for a class, and a group of adults was there as well, and the leader of the group was getting all over the kids for being on the track!

Has there been any movement to open East to adult runners?
