Best Suburb in Denver to live.. (Colorado Springs, Lakewood: house, neighborhood, good schools)

I have lived in Newport Beach, CA for thirty-five years and built up tremendous equity in my estate and now have the option to trade in for a larger estate in an area free of botox'd crows feet and boob jobs. I am looking into a possible move to the Denver Metro Area. I am fairly educated on the city, but needless to say ...I need some help. I was quite pleased on a visit to Broomfield crossings mall, that seemed like a vibrant area, How is the residential area in Broomfield? upscale? I know adjacent to Centennial there is a nice neighborhood, but should I be concerned with traffic from Tech Center?

--Any other recommendations would be greatfully accepted- I'm planning on a trip to "Mile High" territory next month..

cool shopping places? Flat Irons, Park Meadows, Cherry Creek

Traffic? I-25 expansion project is one month from completion and the se line on light rail opens in 3 months

Parker is a nice town. Good schools and views on the mountains. Not to far from the tec center as well.

Having lived in the burbs west of Denver for 35 years I prefer and recommend
southwest Lakewood, Lots of parks, easy access to two highways, great views, Check it out!!!

I was basically born and bread in Colorado and I can tell you where I did most of my growing up was in Littleton Colorado. Now called Centennial I guess. We lived off of Arapahoe Road and Dry Creek Rd. It is a great area and you are close to everything you need. From what I heard though the house I grew up in my parents bought it for 100K and now it is going for around 400K so prices have gone up but it is a very nice area. Colorado Springs, Lakewood and Castlerock are also really nice areas. Hope this helps.
